For direct application on livestock. It protects cattle from insect-borne vector diseases: bluetongue (BT), lumpy skin disease (LSD) and epizootic haemorrhagic disease (EHD).
Insect-borne vector diseases are among the greatest threats to cattle farming in Poland and Europe. Bluetongue (BT) has been present in Poland since 2024. Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is subject to compulsory official control — its detection means the immediate culling of the herd and the setting up of protection zones. These diseases are carried by biting, blood-sucking insects of the genera Culicoides, Aedes and Culex, active from spring to late autumn.
The Chief Veterinary Inspectorate explicitly recommends using repellents to protect animals from insects recognised as vectors of disease transmission. Diptron® CulixCare answers that recommendation.
Key features
100% plant-based ingredients — a formula based solely on natural active substances, with no synthetic biocides.
Neem extract — 4% — azadirachtin disrupts the insect life cycle, inhibits egg laying, repels adults and limits their ability to feed. The repellent effect lasts up to 6 weeks after application.
Hydrogenated, cyclised lemon eucalyptus oil — 4% — PMD (para-menthane-3,8-diol) is the only natural repellent ingredient recommended by the CDC as an effective alternative to DEET. It works on a broad spectrum of flying and crawling insects.
Protection against vector diseases — by repelling Culicoides, Aedes and Culex it reduces the risk of BT, LSD and EHD transmission.
No withdrawal period — a general-use product, with no restrictions on milk or meat after application.
Two application methods — spraying directly onto the animals or dipping.
Flexible dosing — a treatment dose of 1.6% (16 ml/l) and a maintenance dose of 0.8% (8 ml/l), depending on insect pressure.
